As I mentioned in my strawberry feta salad recipe, the summer is just about to close and I need to get on a more healthier track for the fall season. My summer can be summed up as CARBS. It’s been carbs all summer long! But I’ve been okay with that! But now my pants are fitting tighter and its time to roll out some healthier recipes.
Since I’m a self-proclaimed Georgia Peach, living in Atlanta all of 6 years a few years back, I figured I would bring to you a peach salad recipe. This salad is delicious as it combines many rich flavors and textures. There is a bit of sweet and tart flavor that can be tasted with every bite.
Health Benefits of Peaches
Although, peaches are low calorie fruits and contain no saturated fats, it doesn’t prevent them from being packed with various vitamins and minerals. Peaches offer a moderate amount of vitamin C and antioxidants that assists in fighting free radicals that cause certain cancers. Vitamin C can also reduce wrinkles and improve skin.
In addition, peaches have aided in warding off obesity-related diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Peach Salad Recipe
- For Salad
- 4 Cups of Mixed Greens
- 1 Peach Thinly Sliced
- ½ cup diced Red Onion
- ½ Pecans
- For Dressing
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- In a large bowl, place half of the mix greens into bowl
- Mix ingredients for dressing and pour into bowl
- Combine the rest of mix greens in bowl
- Add peaches, pecans and red onion to salad.
